I referred to myself in my welcome post and page as a Senior Retiree. I have been retired for 25 years. Amazing. I think it would be a good idea to think about retirement as seasons of retirement. Sixty year old retirees and eighty something’s have different needs, desires and interests.

I like to think of new retirees as Freshman Retirees. Freshman Retirees are most likely to be new or relatively new retirees generally in their late fifties or early sixties. They are still very active and maybe even working some. They are often still deciding what they want to do in retirement and where they want to live etc. More Later.

Sophomore Retirees on the other hand are most likely to be in there later sixty’s and early seventies. They are usually still very active but now they have identified their travel ideas and know where they would like to live and what kind of things they like to do etc. I hope you like the idea!
